From a friend of mine...
------------------

We are looking to hire a Teacher for the formation of a new school, beginning in September 2004 in West Vancouver.

The aim of this school is to synthesize the highest thinking and leading-edge models on development, emergence, education and spirituality, producing an open-ended, ever-evolving body of knowledge to achieve the highest levels of development.

You will be the focal teacher on staff, working initially with five children aged 4 - 6. We are seeking someone with high levels of flexibility, sensitivity, openness, drive, stability, self-esteem and a holistic vision to mesh learning to experience. The incumbent will be experienced, intelligent, self-motivated, able to give and receive instruction, and passionate about children and creating extraordinary new possibilities in education.

Familiarity or interest in the works of Ken Wilber, Don Beck, Andrew Cohen, or Joseph Chilton Pearce would be helpful, as we will be closely affiliated with both their work and their organizations. You will also be exposed to a global network of visionary thinkers and cutting-edge new endeavors in this field, and contribute to the creation of a new thinking and a higher context for education.

If you are interested, please send a cover letter and your resume to juma@dynamicachievement.com.

We are planning to hire by the end of April 2004.

Totally agree there Rob. Folks who think the Multiple Intelligences approach is the leading edge have been transcended - and included ;-)

I forwarded this on to Marilyn of Spiral Dynamics fame in B.C, and she was quite familiar with this position- she said the response has been fantastic. Funny thing is I should have known, as she sent this along on to her SD contact list. In fact, i think i I met Juma and some of the other folks involved over at the SD Training a few weeks ago!
